hozhoimages.com: Bio Info

I was born in Paterson, New Jersey in 1944, and lived there for my first nineteen years. At twenty, I joined the Navy during the Viet Nam War and served on the USS Lake Champlain, USS Oriskany and the USS Enterprise. I also spent two years stationed at the U.S. Naval Communications Station, San Miguel, Philippines. While in the Philippines I became interested in photography, and though I haven't always had time to pursue it, I've never really dropped the hobby.

I worked in the restaurant business for twelve years. I worked for the Bonanza Steak House chain, and at New York City's Four Seasons restaurant. Between then and now, I attended college at both the University of Denver, and the University of Colorado where I completed my Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning. I worked for the State of Colorado (Planning Division and the Water Quality Control Division) for twenty-three years until I retired due to contracting Multiple Sclorosis.

I'm still pursuing photography, though I have had to change my photographic subjects quite a bit, but I still find it very satisfying.

The images you see in this site were shot almost exclusively with Nikon equipment. Originally, I used two Nikon 8008S bodies, and a Nikon D100 which I still have and will still use. I now also have the new D300, and the following lenses: AF 12-24mm f4 DX, AF 24mm f2.8, AF 50mm f1.4, AF 35-70mm f3.3-4.5, AF 105mm f2.8 Micro, AF 80-200mm f2.8, and the AF VR 70-300mm f4.5-5.6. All of these are Nikon lenses.
